I'm standing for Head of Marketing because I genuinely believe the Electronic Music Society deserves an events programme that pushes boundaries — not just in the music we showcase, but in the spaces we use and the people we platform.
I've been actively building connections within London's underground electronic music network, reaching out to venues and promoters that most student societies never tap into. I want to bring those relationships to EMS and create events that feel real, not generic — nights that actually reflect the culture we're part of.
What drives me most is making sure everyone in this society gets a fair shot at the stage. Whether you've been here since day one or just joined last week, you deserve the same energy and the same opportunities. I'm committed to building an events calendar where new faces are welcomed, not overlooked.
I work hard, I hustle, and I care deeply about this community. Give me this role and I'll make every event something people talk about for years.
Many of you know me as DJ VALENTINE, and as head of design of this years committee, I wish to evolve my work and direct it more to something that I love doing, which is marketing.
I have a lot of experience in this domain, as I own a « micro influencer » TikTok account that counts more than 18k followers, where I have successfully managed to market myself for clothing brands online.
I believe I would be the perfect candidate for this role as I loved advertising the EMS events this year, and have done so quite successfully, I would also love to keep sharing my creative ideas for the society next year.
I’m also present on the Rare Fm committee as head of design and love to create posters and content for them that has been posted on their social media. I’m also proud to say that I was on this years design committee for « Unity Sound », the official London university dj society collective, where I have successfully created marketing videos to advertise their events.
Even though I will be on a year abroad in Florence, (Italy) next year, I would still love to be a part of the EMS committee and would still love to come back to London for upcoming events. I could work from a distance on creating content for the society.
Thank you so much for your consideration !
