Effective Altruism Society: Welfare Officer

Hi everyone! I’m a Social Science with Data Science student at UCL and I’m really interested in the ideas behind Effective Altruism, especially the idea of using reason and data to find the most effective ways to help others.

I’m generally a positive and open-minded person, and I really enjoy hearing different perspectives and engaging in thoughtful and critical discussions. I’d love to help make the society a more welcoming and supportive space for everyone, especially for students who are new to EA and curious about these ideas.

If elected as Welfare Officer, I hope to organise casual meetups, discussions, and meaningful events where members can connect, exchange ideas, and gain new insights together.
