Drag Society: Head of Production

Hello lovely kings, queens, things and marvellous members of ucl drag society. My name is Sonia, but you may also know me as Saffron Solstice. I am excited to my nomination for the role of head of production. To assure you that our shows are in safe hands,  I am training with current head of production, Sofia/Anita Job, to ensure the smoothest possible takeover. I also come with over a decades worth of experience in theatre, from my first role on stage in peter pan to my most recent in the Bloomsbury theatre production of Sister Act. I am also of course a drag queen with numerous performances under my belt; including scala, glittoris and 3 of drag socs own shows meaning I have first hand knowledge of what it means to be a drag performer. In addition, I will use my experience to run shows smoothly so that the world can keep seeing your incredible performances. I will ensure that performance slots are distributed equitably and that we have drag king and thing representation in each of our shows. As a trans woman of colour, I will champion gender diverse and POC performers. I hope I can count on your support as future head of production.
