Dodgeball Club: Women's Captain

I would love to run for Women’s Captain because I’m passionate about leadership and thrive on the competitiveness that makes dodgeball so exciting. Over this year, I’ve learned so much from training and matches, and I’m eager not only to continue improving myself but also to pass that knowledge and confidence on to other members of the team.

To me, being captain isn’t just about how we play, but about how we grow and succeed together as a team. I recognise how important it is to truly know your teammates in order to coordinate effectively and build a strong, trusting, and motivated group. I would prioritise supporting each player, valuing our differences, and bringing out everyone’s individual strengths, because every member of the team is valuable and has something unique to contribute.

As a class representative, I’ve gained experience in leadership, organisation, and bringing people together. I understand that this role involves both logistical and practical responsibilities, from communication and planning to leading on court. I’m ready to take on that challenge, grow alongside the team, and push ourselves to win matches!!!

i do hope im not the only candidate for this role bc like, competitive ecosystems and talent pipeline diversification are important. but anyway. i think this whole bio thing is intended to "strengthen my candidacy" or "secure stakeholder buy-in" or something like that???? so listen listen listen…i will TRY my best not to captain the ucl women on a one-way strategic relocation initiative to floptropica. no promises, but strong attempts will be made. strategic attempts. data-informed attempts.

however. let me put some reassurance into the good people of UCL.

in alignment with the exceptional leadership frameworks established by captains before me (#icons #BlueprintBehaviour), i would aim to build upon their legacy through a high-performance, values-driven, synergy-optimised approach to competitive dodgeball excellence.

by this i mean..we LOCK INNNNNNN. 

apparently i can dodge. and kinda catch. i can't rlly throw tho. hopefully captaincy isnt about raw athletic dominance but about vision-setting, cross-functional communication and morale optimisation. should i be appointed to this strategic leadership position, i will endeavour to:

• enhance performance deliverables 
•  maximise competitive ROI
• and execute scalable pathways to BUCS FINALLLSSS RAHHHHH
