Hey everyone!
I’m Chloe, and in my role as Freshers Rep this year, I loved being on committee 🫶 I have been able to gain insight on admin work, as well as experience in general committee duties and being a good communicator. I believe this will help me step into the role of treasurer as my interpersonal skills will come in clutch for effective communication. With high involvement in the society, being treasurer would require good organisational ability and time management. Having balanced my studies whilst choreographing & dancing in several shows (& comps for a bit), I know I’d be able to stay responsible and on top of my work to assist the smooth running of the soc. Numbers are already my day-to-day as an econ student, and I am ready to manage & track the society’s finances & forms to maximise opportunities for us.
Freshers’ Show this year was incredible and I’d love to prod it next year – to be part of the welcoming faces for freshers just as I am now – and I’m confident that I have the necessary leadership skills to collaborate and co-create effectively, being part of the Spring Showcase prod team this year, and dance prefect in school where I had to organise classes & year group dances.
I know being treasurer comes with a lot of responsibility but I’m ready to take it on! Being involved in Dance Soc has been so rewarding & I’d love for the chance to contribute further next year – if you’d let me! ⭐️🩷⚡️
Hi! I’m Lauren, a History, Politcs and Economics first year, and I’m really excited to be running to be Dance Society's next treasurer!
UCL dance has been such a great group to be part of; returning to dancing and being a part of shows have been the highlights of my year and I’d love the chance to give back.
I have grown strong organisational and communication skills from two years as Youth Board Secretary for the charity Unloc, as well as experience co-producing the Goudafellas show for The Cheese Grater Magazine, and project planning and budgeting for a Celebration of Heritage Day. I believe I can effectively control budgets, negotiate and communitcate with the committee and ensure the timely processing of refunds and grants so that the society can function effectively.
I love spreadsheets, and I love dance soc, and I’d be proud to combine both as your treasurer!
I am applying to be Dance Committee Treasurer. Dance has been one of the most important and rewarding parts of my life since I was 2. To me, it is about more than performing; it reflects the organisation, planning, dedication, and resilience I have developed through my journey as Dance Captain at school and as Freshers’ Representative. I would love to continue contributing to committee in a role with greater responsibility and maintain initiatives such as Forms Friday to ensure efficiency and organisation.
Studying Economics has strengthened my budgeting and analytical skills, and I am confident managing money responsibly and thinking long term. Treasurer requires strong budget and time management, leadership, organisation, and resilience — qualities I have developed both academically and through committee experience. I would approach the role with responsibility and attention to detail.
My priority would be to maintain financial stability while supporting an ambitious year. I would ensure clear budget tracking and transparency, review spending for value, and explore sponsorship opportunities, including maintaining The Stay Club partnership, alongside manageable fundraising initiatives.
Overall, I am organised, resilient, proactive, and genuinely enthusiastic about this role. I would be fully committed to supporting both the creative and logistical success of Dance next year.
