Cricket Club (Women's): Social Secretary

After only being in the club for a year, it's safe to say I've made a lot of friends along the way! I have enjoyed the socials and being part of the softball team. As social secretary I would aim to create an inclusive environment through memorable events which brings all the teams together. From fresher's week I would coordinate events to advertise the club and encourage new members to join through dinners, social events at university bars alongside non-drinking socials to cater to everyone's needs. Throughout the year I would organise events on Wednesday's at student bars or non-drinking socials alongside more cricket themed activities either as joint socials or just our club. At the end of the year I would coordinate an end of season dinner and coordinate Varsity themed socials to celebrate the year and our achievements throughout. My ultimate goal would be to ensure all members are welcomed and valued in a supportive community whilst playing sport through fostering team spirit and a supportive community.
