Cricket Club: President

Hello Hello Hello, UCLCC Nation!  

This club has constituted the greatest co-curricular commitment of my life and therefore I consider no higher privilege than fulfilling its ultimate vocation. 

As Treasurer, I have gained unique knowledge of the club’s functions, strengths, and weaknesses, alongside a vital understanding of our financial inflows and outflows. I believe this places me in excellent stead to apply for Presidency.

This year, we oversaw major expansions, including Wednesday training, First XI training, First XI S&C, alongside a new BUCS 3rd XI, UCLCCFC and UCLCC Run Club. This was delightful, and, going forward I intend to build upon them strongly, culminating in a Playing Tour and Social Tour next year. However, I would also like to draw emphasis to the 2nd and 3rd XI, organising additional, “compartmentalised” training for them from Term 1, fostering their "micro" community and development, which the First XI already experience. 

Finally, to complement internal growth, I intend to orchestrate major external growth next year: strong partnerships with other societies, the women’s cricket club, and heightened social media outreach. I believe this will enlarge our “cog” that rotates in the “wheel” of University Sport, once again increasing the sense of community, family, and impact that we promote.
