Im standing in order to elevate and improve the UCL cricket's social media page. Right now it isn't as active as it could be and I want to help in promoting the page in order to attract more members and people into cricket. I have already currently edited and created videos for the Cricket Club and posted them. That including, 1st team videos, editing chicken shop date videos, helping to keep our funstagram (funny instagram side) active. On top of this, I have organised the photoshoots for this season, directing and helping to take the photos of our members for future graphics and posts. To help, I also have a cricket TikTok with over 1500 followers and over 100k likes accumulated over the course of 5 months. I also, work as a social media manager for a social media agency where we approach restaurants, cafe's, shisha lounges and create content for them on instagram, facebook, TikTok etc etc. I think areas for improvement would be to help the UCL Cricket titkok side of things as there is absolutely not activity on that page.
I want to run for Marketing Secretary because I want to create a strong and respected presence for the club within the university and beyond.
I run my startup’s social media, it is entirely on me — branding, graphics, video editing, captions, analytics and strategy. That experience taught me how to create a clear identity, stay consistent, and grow engagement with purpose rather than just posting for the sake of it.
I also redesigned my school’s economics publication, overhauling its visual identity with cleaner layouts, stronger covers and original graphics. The result was a record 4,000 monthly views — the highest in its history — driven by improved presentation and audience focus.
I’d bring that same creativity, independence and attention to detail to the role of Marketing Secretary.
