Hi, I’m Christina, a first-year Geography and Economics student at UCL with a strong interest in structured problem-solving and real-world impact. I’m inspired by UCL Consulting Society’s commitment to delivering high-quality consulting projects while equipping students with practical experience in strategy, analysis, and teamwork.
I am applying for Vice-President – Client Projects because I believe the success of the Society depends on the professionalism, structure, and impact of its client work. Strong project coordination ensures not only meaningful outcomes for partner organisations but also valuable learning experiences for student consultants. In high school, I served as President of the largest academic society in my school, where I organised weekly sessions, coordinated teams, and managed external engagements. This role strengthened my leadership, organisation, and communication skills, especially in ensuring that projects were delivered on time and to a high standard.
If elected, I would focus on strengthening project structure and accountability by introducing clear timelines, defined team roles, regular progress check-ins, and consistent quality review of deliverables. I would also work to ensure strong communication between consultants and clients to maintain professionalism and alignment. My goal is to help the Society deliver impactful, well-managed projects while providing consultants with a structured and rewarding experience.
Hi I’m Rowena and I’d love to be your new Client Projects Vice President! In the last year as Executive I helped shape the strongest client projects year UCLCS has ever seen with 17 projects sourced for 85 student consultants. I personally sourced 8 of these projects, including the flagship engagement supporting the Main Quad works for UCL’s 200th anniversary. I also secured 7 startup projects through UCL Innovation & Enterprise’s Hatchery, where I am a member.
Next year I want to build on this momentum by formally partnering with the Hatchery to guarantee a consistent stream of high-quality, diverse startups. Let’s go from 10 projects per term to 20! This will ensure more of our members work on real, ambitious ventures from environmental sustainability to healthcare technology and everything in between.
Secondly, I want to strengthen collaboration with the Mentoring Division to create a clearer pathway for project teams to access experienced consulting mentors. Every team should feel supported by guidance that elevates both impact and learning.
Finally, I want to build community within the division through regular socials and targeted networking events that connect members to clients, alumni, industry professionals and most importantly, each other!
This year we delivered exceptional results, next year I want exception to become the norm. A vote for me is a vote for more client project opportunities and a stronger consulting community here at UCL. Vote Rowena!
Hi! I’m Kush Mittal, and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Vice President of Client Projects at the UCL Consulting Society.
Through participating in the UCL Business Games with EY-Parthenon, where my team placed 1st out of 100+ contestants, I gained first-hand experience working on a real-world consulting case. Our team analysed the strategy of an independent optician business and developed data-driven recommendations to improve profitability and enterprise value. This experience strengthened my interest in consulting and showed me how structured problem-solving, teamwork, and clear communication can create meaningful impact for organisations. These experiences are also complemented by my role as a First Year Representative in the UCL Business Society, where I support competitions and initiatives that engage students in practical business challenges.
My Vision:
- Delivering Meaningful Client Projects
I want to ensure that projects give students genuine consulting exposure, allowing teams to apply structured frameworks and strategic thinking to real business problems. - Expanding Client Opportunities
By building relationships with startups and organisations, I hope to bring in diverse projects that challenge students and provide valuable real-world experience. - Supporting Project Teams
Through clear project structures and guidance, I aim to ensure teams deliver impactful recommendations while gaining practical consulting skills.
Having worked on a client project as a consultant myself, I’ve seen firsthand how valuable these projects are for developing the structured thinking and collaboration that consulting requires.
Alongside this, I’ve also been building startup-style projects through hackathons and product development, including an EdTech app and a voice-first AI tool. Working on these kinds of problems has given me a strong appreciation for how messy real-world challenges can be, and how important clear structure and teamwork are when trying to solve them.
If elected, I’d focus on strengthening the project experience for consultants by ensuring teams have clearer guidance, stronger coordination, and the support needed to deliver meaningful results for their clients. I’d also be interested in expanding the range of client projects offered, particularly by bringing in organisations operating in rapidly emerging sectors such as AI, technology, and startups. Through the connections I’ve made in these spaces, I’d aim to help open opportunities for members to work on a wider variety of real-world challenges across industries.
Hi everyone, I’m Grace, a first‑year Management Science student running for Client Projects. This year I’ve been the Client Projects First Year Representative, so I’ve already spent a lot of time on the ‘behind‑the‑scenes’ side of outreach, applications, and project support, and it’s made me really excited to step up to lead the division.
As FY rep and through my experience in 180DC and other societies, I’ve been involved in speaking to potential partners, helping with project promotion, and listening to what both clients and students need from a consulting engagement. Before UCL, I founded and ran initiatives like STEM Club and Social‑preneurship Club, where I had to reach out to external organisations, pitch ideas, and follow up until collaborations actually happened, which feels very similar to lead generation and prospecting. I’m comfortable with cold outreach, writing structured emails and LinkedIn messages, and then turning those conversations into clear proposals, presentations, and case‑study style deliverables.
If I’m elected Client Projects VP, I want to focus on: finding interesting, well‑scoped projects through proactive outreach; following up with potential clients so opportunities don’t die after one email; and making sure we screen and match applicants thoughtfully so both sides feel it’s a good fit. I’d also like to support teams during projects by checking in regularly, helping with structure, and making sure client expectations and timelines stay aligned.
