Chinese Students and Scholars Association Society: Treasurer

Hello everyone, my name is Zhenyu Zhang and I am currently the Deputy Head of the Liaison and Public Relations in Chinese Students and Scholars Association Society （CSSA）.

Through my work coordinating partnerships, budgets, and events, I have learned that finance is not just about numbers – it is what keeps the society running smoothly. Clear budgeting and efficient reimbursements directly affect how well our activities are delivered and how supported our team members feel.

If elected Treasurer, I will focus on three key priorities:

First, improving efficiency. I will streamline reimbursement procedures, introduce clearer approval processes for different spending levels, and create standardized online forms to reduce delays and unnecessary paperwork.

Second, ensuring transparency. I will regularly share financial summaries so that committee members clearly understand how funds are used and where resources are allocated.

Third, making funds truly serves students. I hope to provide small meal subsidies for volunteers who support major events and introduce practical student support items such as adapters, stationery, and umbrellas during welcome and exam periods.

My goal is to make CSSA finance efficient, transparent, and supportive of students.
