Chinese Students and Scholars Association Society: Head of Liaison and Public Relations

Hi, my name is Cecilia Chen, and I am currently a member of the CSSA Liaisons team. This year, I am running for the position of Head of Liaison.

Over the past year, I have gained a much deeper understanding of how the department operates and the role external relations play within CSSA. To me, external relations are not only about securing sponsorships, but also about building lasting partnerships and connecting resources with our student community.

During my time in the team, I have also come to realize that much of this work relies on communication and trust. Whether it is working with businesses or coordinating within the team, a supportive and stable environment makes it possible for ideas and collaborations to grow over time.

If elected as Head of Liaison, I hope to build on the strong foundation that the team has already established. On one hand, I would like to maintain and strengthen our existing partnerships while gradually exploring new collaboration opportunities. On the other hand, I hope to help keep the team working in a steady and cooperative atmosphere so that everyone can contribute and work efficiently together.

I see this role as an opportunity to continue supporting the team and build on the work we have already started. If given the opportunity, I will approach every partnership thoughtfully and do my best to move the work of the Liaisons team forward.

我希望通过外联工作，为UCL中国学生争取更多实际资源和合作机会。伦敦拥有丰富的商业和社会资源，如果能够建立稳定的合作关系，不仅可以为学联活动提供支持，也能为同学们带来更多生活优惠、活动合作和职业发展机会。

如果有机会担任外联部部长，我希望推动三个方向的工作：

第一，推动建立“学联合作商家网络”，与伦敦本地餐饮、生活服务及文化机构合作，为同学争取更多更全面的长期学生优惠和活动赞助。

第二，加强与企业和校友资源的联系。我们计划邀请不同行业的校友或企业代表参与职业分享与交流活动，提供实习信息与行业经验交流机会，让同学们能够更早了解不同行业的发展路径，并拓展职业发展的渠道。

第三，加强内外沟通与协作。一方面与学联各部门保持高效对接，根据活动需求提供合适的合作资源；另一方面与合作商家建立清晰、稳定的沟通机制，推动长期合作关系的建立。

希望通过务实的外联工作，让学联为UCL中国学生创造更多资源与机会。感谢大家的支持。

Hi! I’m Amanda Chen from the CSSA Liaisons and Public Relations team and I’m running to be its head. It would mean the world to me to have your vote! :D

I’m running for this role because I want to strengthen the connections between CSSA, businesses, and the wider student community. My goal is to build meaningful partnerships that bring real opportunities and resources to our members.

I believe external relations should go beyond sponsorships. It is about expanding our network, representing our community well, and making CSSA more visible across London. With my experience in the team and the connections I have built, I am confident I can help grow CSSA’s partnerships and support more exciting events for our members.
