Jun You Ho

Hi everyone, I’m Jun You, a first year currently on Strike, and I’m running to be your next Treasurer!

Being part of cheer has meant so so much to me this year, and I would really love the opportunity to give back in a practical way. Being on the team has shown me how much planning and organisation goes on behind the scenes to make trainings, competitions, and socials run smoothly. I hope to support that by ensuring our finances are well managed and sustainable.

As a Mathematics student, I am confident working with numbers and paying close attention to detail. I am comfortable using Excel to organise budgets and track spending clearly and accurately. I am also committed to keeping cheer accessible by maintaining fair membership fees while making the most of our budget.

One of the things I value most about cheer is the people! Meeting teammates from different backgrounds and seeing everyone grow has made me even more passionate about supporting our club. Having been captain in my last cheer team, I believe I am well-equipped for this position.

Here’s what I hope to achieve:

  • Keep fees low while maintaining high standards
  • Work to secure discounted open gym rates for club members (Cheaper OG!)
  • Improve training spaces and timings  for comfort and convenience (Later TC!)
  • Bring teams closer through joint events
  • Strengthen the family system

I JunYou-inely care deeply about our club and would be proud to support it behind the scenes as your Treasurer. I hope I can count on your vote. :D

Talia Guillet

I’m Talia, a proud #BoltBaddie, and for the past two years, Lightning has genuinely been my favourite part of uni. From the friendships that transcend teams to the sheer unity of this club, I want to give back to the society that’s given me so much. I’m running for Treasurer because it’s the role where I can best leverage my strengths to support the club’s success.

I have (unfortunately) become a finance bro this year as an Analyst for the UCL M&A Group. While I’ve traded my cheer shoes for Excel in my spare time, I can assure you the club’s finances will be in very safe hands. I’ll project our expenditures to ensure our spending is sustainable and handle those ruthless SU forms promptly so our lovely President has someone reliable to lean on.

Beyond organisation and time management, being Treasurer requires staying composed when things don't go as planned. Whether it’s staying level-headed during a stunt or managing a restaurant during peak service, I thrive under pressure. My goal is to handle the behind-the-scenes logistics seamlessly, ensuring our finances are one less thing for you to worry about. By taking care of the admin, I want to protect our welcoming environment and make sure we can all stay focused on hitting our routines together.

Vote for me and I promise we will HIT ZERO debts ;)
