Cheerleading Club: President

Hi everyone! I’m Natasha, & I would be honoured to be your President.

Over the last two years, Lightning has been the highlight of my university experience, & I would love to continue cultivating this environment for every member ⚡️

Competing on both Flash and Strike, & currently serving as Club Secretary, I’ve experienced this club from multiple perspectives. This has given me a deep understanding of what makes Lightning so special.

As Club Secretary, I have managed communications to navigated unexpected challenges - like not having mats in Wapping before the season began or dealing with missing competition wristbands - which helped me develop my problem-solving & leadership skills. Working closely with our Pres & Tres has strengthened my communication & organisational abilities, while giving me valuable insight into the operational and strategic work of Lightning 💜

As an international student, Lightning has been my home away from home, & feeling supported is something I am deeply committed to expanding.

Vision:

• Stronger communication: Greater transparency between Committee and members, with structured feedback so every voice is heard.
• One unified club: More cross-team interaction so Lightning feels like the community it is.
• Internal showcase: Teams performing for each other before comps to build confidence and a culture of support.
• Efficient committee: Stronger internal communication so great ideas actually get executed.
