Cancer Charities Alliance Society: Publicity Officer

I am standing for Publicity Officer because I believe meaningful work only creates impact when people hear about it and feel invited into it.

Whether establishing a science society to make complex biology info accessible, publishing popular science articles, or creating a health literacy course, I’ve learned that communication is not just about sharing information: It is about empowering people to act.

Cancer research and charity initiatives can feel intimidating or distant to students outside the field. I want to change that. As Publicity Officer, I would focus on making our events and campaigns engaging, inclusive, and visible.

Having grown up immersed in conversations about oncology, I understand both the urgency of cancer work and the importance of public understanding. I want to help the Cancer Charities Alliance Society amplify its impact by building a community that feels informed, connected, and motivated to contribute to the fight against cancer.
