Business Society: President

Hey everyone! I'm Max and I'm running for President!

In my first weeks at UCL, I was a humanities student with no clear direction. Then, I competed in the 2024 DECA Case Competition on equity vs debt financing and everything changed. That event ignited a passion that led me to reapply to UCL for Management Science the following year, join Business Society as a FYR in Client Relations, and stand here today. I know firsthand the power this society has to transform someone's trajectory, because it transformed mine.

This year, I've secured and run events with Deutsche Bank, Citi and more, seeing how client relations is the heartbeat of this society. I have the experience and connections to take it further.

As President, I'll focus on three priorities:

1. Diversify our speakers - I'll use my network to secure senior professionals from across industries, from finance to sports leaders, giving members exposure beyond the traditional paths.
2. Supercharge consulting - as Consulting Director at 180DC UCL, I managed 20+ projects with 100+ students and secured mentors from Visa, Accenture and Clarasys. I'll bring that energy here: weekly case clubs, professional speakers, and real consulting projects with actual clients.
3. Protect what makes us great - DECA changed my life, and I'll ensure competitions continue to inspire others, with professional judges and corporate partners year-round.
