Henrike de Ridder

Hi! I’m Henrike (de Rigger-Jigger), and I’d love to be your next Assistant Boatswain!

Joining RUMSBC has been one of the best parts of first year. I’ve loved the team spirit, the early mornings, and the shared sense of purpose within a crew. There’s something really special about working hard together and supporting the girl in front of you. I’ve not only found a new sport I love, but also an incredibly supportive and motivating community.

Over the past year, I’ve also developed a real appreciation for everything that goes on behind the scenes to keep the boathouse running smoothly, especially at Cambridge. I’m someone who’s always happy to stay behind, help out, and contribute where needed, and I’d love to take on a more active and formal role in supporting the upkeep and organisation that allows the club to function so well.

I’m reliable, organised, and enthusiastic, and I care deeply about the club and its community. I’d always aim to be helpful, proactive, and approachable, and to support the smooth running of the boathouse so everyone can continue to enjoy and take pride in being part of the club.
