Savin Abeysinghe

Hi everyone, I’ve been going to Board Games for over a year now and in that time I’ve found an amazing community of friends and a bunch of really engaging games that have become my favourites, including Secret Hitler, Bang and Blood on the Clocktower. (Articulate is also great but I haven’t gotten around to playing it at our Friday sessions yet).

I think it’s really important to make the best use of our funding to have as wide a range of board games as we can, the selection of which should be reflective of your interests.

For that reason as treasurer I’d want to make sure that you, our members, should have the most important input into what games we should buy and which existing games are in high demand that we need more sets of. I hope to encourage more people in the society to come forward and suggest games that interest them, and given enough support, we can leverage our funds to expand the range we have to involve your suggestions.

I’m really grateful to the environment that has been so welcoming and that’s to the credit of the current committee and everyone who attends events. I’d really like to serve you all as treasurer and ensure we continue to have as welcoming of a space as possible, with as many games as we can accommodate.

I hope to gain your support, thanks everyone 😊!
