Biomedical Sciences Society: Media Secretary

I am excited to nominate myself to be Media secretary. 

I would love to use the knowledge I have gained throughout my experiences in media to improve the social media presence of biomedical science society.

I also work part time with UCL accommodation to create content for their social media. In my most recent project with them, I created an instagram reel showing the new Urbanest Canary Warf UCL accommodation.

I will create the most vibrant and engaging canvas and reels to emphasise and showcase all the amazing events and opportunities we provide, enthusiastically promoting everything the society organises, along with promoting the society itself.

This way, I can help increase the recognition of how truly amazing biomedical sciences society is, and grow and expand our community.

I have great passion towards both biomedical sciences and social media, it will be a pleasure to contribute to Biomedical Science Society as Media secretary, I encourage you all to vote for me.

I am applying for Media Secretary because I believe our club's impact is defined by our ability to make biomedical science accessible and engaging no matter what a member studies. As a biomed student, I know how intimidating our field can feel, and I want to bridge that gap by transforming our online presence into a vibrant and welcoming hub where we not only promote events but also celebrate our members while spreading news about our club. My goal is to elevate our visual brand and use certified social media strategies to ensure that every student feels connected to the department.

Hi everyone, this is Lorrine! I’m a 2nd-year Biomedical Sciences student, and I'm excited to put myself forward as your next Media Secretary. I’m passionate about biomedical sciences, but just as importantly, I want to improve our student experience by building a warm and tight-knit community – which is exactly what the Biomedical Sciences Society is about.

Having managed the social media accounts of two different societies and with over 5 years of Canvas experience under my belt, you can count on me to keep our Instagram page engaging and aesthetic ✨I’d also love to expand our online presence by regularly updating our LinkedIn account, which can help us grow our professional connections. 

Moreover, as someone enthusiastic about science communication, I’m eager to start filling up our society’s blog by encouraging members to share their ideas, experiences, and insights. I’d love to help showcase the amazing things you guys are doing!
