Hi, I am Sara and I am your current welfare officer and I am running for President!

I have seen the passion this society holds for the intersection of ethics, science, and the law. My time on the committee has provided me with more than just administrative insight.It has given me a deep understanding of our members' needs and a clear vision for how this society can thrive.

I am running for President because I want to make Bioethics and MedLaw an inclusive community where complex discussions are accessible to everyone, a lead on from the ethics and empathy sessions I collaborated on earlier this term. Whether you are an expert or a newcomer, I want to help you understand the "how" and "why" behind ethics, all while ensuring we have fun along the way.

My Plan for the Society:

• Bioethics in the News: I will move beyond standard informative panels by introducing a recurring ‘Blog’
• I will establish the new Outreach Officer role to its full potential, expanding our relationships with professional organisations and partner societies to provide you with more networking opportunities.
• Leveraging my Welfare background, I will prioritise a diverse environment where every student feels empowered to debate sensitive topics without fear.
• I have the experience to manage the "behind-the-scenes" work, ensuring every event runs smoothly and adds value to your university experience.
