Nyleve Chan

Hi everyone, I am Nyleve and I hope to become your welfare officer next year!

As a Psychology student, I am interested in wellbeing, social behaviour, and how environments influence engagement and motivation. In this role, I would prioritise creating spaces where members can engage both academically and socially without pressure, ensuring events are inclusive and considerate of different needs and experiences. I would collaborate with the committee to promote wellbeing initiatives, encourage balanced participation, and signpost students to appropriate university support services when needed. I am approachable, empathetic, and organised, and I would aim to represent members’ concerns responsibly while helping foster a positive and respectful environment. Taking on this position would allow me to contribute to BIS by strengthening community engagement and ensuring that wellbeing remains central to the society’s activities.

Thank you for your time!
