Behavioural Innovations Society: Events Director

Hii, I'm Jasmine, a second-year BSc Psychology and Language Sciences student :)
As someone with a growing passion for Behavioural Science, I’m eager to strengthen the bridge between academia and real-world application within our community. Over the past year, I have successfully organised and led our guest speaker seminar series through professional outreach to experts across government, industry, and academia. By building genuine connections and crafting thoughtful invitations, I secured speakers who shared practical insights into behavioural research, policy implementation, and applied consulting.
Through coordinating scheduling, promotion, and event logistics, I developed strong project management skills while ensuring sessions were engaging and accessible for students. Leading these initiatives reinforced the importance of clear communication, accountability, and thoughtful planning when overseeing events and collaborating with external professionals. 
Moving forward, I hope to continue leveraging and expanding these industry and academic connections to support students in their academic and career pursuits. Whether through expert panels, interdisciplinary discussions, or new interactive formats, I am committed to fostering an innovative and inclusive space within BIS that empowers students and contributes meaningfully to positive, sustainable behaviour change at UCL and beyond.
