Luna Falatar

I come from a Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian family, and I spend every summer in Montenegro — so I feel like I complete the society’s name! Our region has always been a big part of my life, and BCSM is a rare space where people from across our cultures can meet and feel at home at UCL.

I genuinely love our culture — the food, the films, the music, the humour. I went to see Dubioza Kolektiv and Bijelo Dugme live this year and it left thinking: why aren’t we doing more of this together? That’s why I’m running.

London has a huge Balkan cultural scene and we should take full advantage of it: group trips to concerts, film nights with great Balkan movies, and relaxed evenings with good food and rakija (obviously). I also want more joint events with other societies so our community keeps growing.

My goal is simple: create a society where people enjoy spending time together, discover our culture, and build friendships that last beyond university. Idemooo!

Mak Selimovic

Being from Bosnia and Croatia, I am proud of my heritage and am keen to represent the region I’m from in BCMS society. Being Head Boy and President of the School Council at school has equipped me with the skills required for leadership while I also have a passion for cultural events and opportunties to connect with other BCMS students in London. I would use this role to make all members feel welcome and use our heritage as an opportunity to bring people together, whether through food, clubbing, games or just fun socials!
