Basketball Club (Women's): Social Secretary

I had a blast organising socials for everyone this year with Louisa, if you enjoyed them too please vote for me again 😁

I have made so many friends from all the socials this year and want to help make that happen for all the new people come next year! I have amazing communication and time management skills so organizing socials would be a perfect job for me. 

I would love to be your UCLWB social secretary and continue on the wonderful environment that we have and the work of the past social secretaries! As LUSL co-captain this year (a role that I’ve super enjoyed :) ), I have gotten to know people with various Basketball backgrounds and helped to include everyone during trainings and matches. Having also been social secretary for another club, I know what this role involves and I absolutely love organising socials and events, something I hope to do for everyone in UCLWB!

Next year, I hope to carry on some of our traditional socials (Mums + moms, gingerbread house making, and Canopy after training to name a few!) as well as creating some new socials by listening to people’s thoughts. I would love to have more themed dress nights as well as some games and movie nights where the entire club can get together and feel as though they are in an inclusive environment. I would also like to collaborate with other clubs for certain socials, including the men’s club, so that we can mingle with other societies and even try out new sports (the first one being ice skating!).

I think UCLWB is a beautiful community and I believe I can help to strengthen our club’s socials and affirm the fun environment we have :)(Plus, I have a 100% attendance at Scala!)
