Baseball has never been just a sport to me, it’s a feeling. It’s a warm evening in the bleachers with friends, a cold beer in your hand, ballpark food on your lap, talking and laughing as the game unfolds in the background. It’s the silence before a full-count pitch in the 9th inning, two outs, down by one, when everything stops for a second. And it’s the bond you build with teammates from the other side of the world, fighting for each other at Nationals when a year ago you didn’t even know their names. That’s the beauty of baseball. And I promise to do everything I can to protect that spirit and share it with more people at our university.
I am already familiar with the administrative side of the club through my time as first team captain and committee member. I’ve organised trainings, communicated with players, and dealt with challenges that come with running a team. I understand the responsibility behind leadership, not just the visible moments, but the necessary work that happens quietly in the background.
If elected President, I won’t just carry the title, I will carry the responsibility. I want us to grow stronger competitively while preserving the atmosphere that makes this club special. More people playing, more people watching, more people feeling what baseball truly is.
Give me your vote, and I will fight for this club with my full commitment, my energy, and my heart. ⚾
I heard that if no one nominates themselves as President of the baseball team, the baseball club might be gone, so here I am.
As a women baseball player, I’ve been playing among boys for a total of seven years, since I was 12. This means I have relatively rich competition experience and baseball knowledge. I also actively participated in team games and activities during my freshman year. My baseball skills may not be the best among our teammates, but I run a physical baseball equipment store in China , I was also president of my middle school baseball team and captain of our region’s representative team. With these experiences, I can not only bring the team more budget saving resources but also take on the responsibility to manage and organize the society well, making sure that everyone in the baseball society enjoy baseball!
Hi, I was the equipment manager for this academic year and after seeing that there potentially going to be no nominations for the role I have decided to put myself forward. While I'm not the most outgoing person, I already have commitee experience and I would consider myself as hardworking. I’m committed to keeping the society running smoothly, helping it continue to grow and strengthening the society's foundations.
