Khadija Lamia

This year, I’ve enjoyed being part of Bangla Soc as a First Year Representative, as it has shown me how our society engages with members. Through this experience, I’ve seen the impact that good communication and engagement can have, and it’s made me excited about the ideas I can introduce online next year as Social Media Officer.

I’ve already been creating posts for Bangla Soc’s social media and have real insight into what goes into planning and designing content. I want to significantly grow our presence on both Instagram and especially TikTok, where I see a strong opportunity to widen our audience and attract new members to the society. I want to introduce behind-the-scenes content from our events, showing the preparation, the excitement, and the real moments that make Bangla Soc what it is. I also want to create fun, interactive TikTok challenges and trends that members can actively get involved in, making our page more than just an information page, but a space where people feel excited to participate.

If elected, I want to bring creativity and consistency to our social media by experimenting with engaging content while ensuring regular and high-quality posts. I want our online platforms to be spaces where members feel connected and up to date. Ultimately, I believe a strong social media presence can help us reach more students, showcase our events, and make Bangla Soc even more visible in the coming year.
