I’m standing for General Secretary because BSoc feels like a little piece of home to me. I grew up in Dhaka for 18 years, surrounded by such a lively, open and community-driven culture. Moving to London made me realise how much that sense of belonging shapes you, and how special it is to find spaces that bring that feeling back.

In school, I was always the one who gravitated towards organising things - music festivals, charity fairs, mun, tedx and whatnot. I genuinely love being part of the process. There’s something really satisfying about coordinating people, keeping things on track, and paying attention to the details that make everything come together smoothly.

As General Secretary, I’d love to help BSoc stay organised in the same way. I want our events to feel easy to show up to (even if you come alone) and to slowly grow into the kind of community where you feel comfortable, familiar, and connected! :)
