Khadija Lamia

As a First Year Representative, I have been actively involved in supporting the Bangla Soc Committee with their events over the past year. This experience has given me valuable insight into the planning and coordination that takes place behind the scenes. Through this involvement, I have developed a strong understanding of what makes an event successful and where there is potential to innovate and grow.

Building on this experience, I want to take a more active role in shaping the future of Bangla Soc’s events. I am passionate about introducing fresh and creative ideas, from initiatives such as “Brown Confessions” open-mic nights to immersive cultural experiences like a Bengali-themed festival or heritage night. I believe our society has the potential to deliver events that are enjoyable and memorable.

If elected, I will work to ensure that every event is inclusive, an engaging space where members can connect with their culture, build meaningful friendships, and most importantly, have fun.
