Lincoln Kwan

Hello everyone,

I’m Lincoln and I’m excited to nominate myself for the position of Welfare Officer. My passion for badminton has led me to spend two amazing years with the club, first as a member and now as a social secretary. I've shared a lot of great moments on and off the court with our community, and have had the privilege of running weekly social sessions and meeting all of you this year. I see myself having a future at the club and hope that the role of Welfare Officer will allow me to better support and bring together the wider badminton community.

Having oversaw our regular sessions this year, I am familiar with the behind-the-scenes work that goes into organizing them. This has also helped me identify room for improvement in various aspects of our daily operations. I intend to address concerns among our members regarding playtime by strengthening communications and optimizing our allocation algorithm to ensure fairness. In addition, I plan to introduce a larger variety of social events beyond weekly badminton sessions in order to foster meaningful connections within our community. I believe that events such as games nights, pub socials and society collaborations are crucial for bringing people together. I'm very eager to realize my vision of making Badminton Club the friendly, supportive environment where everyone can enjoy the beautiful sport as your new Welfare Officer.
