As a committed member of the Art Business Society and History of Art student, I would like to take on the role of Marketing Officer for next year. This is an area which can be successfully developed into a useful, productive and impressive aspect of the Society's many existing accolades. I would do this by regularly creating content for social media, including updates from the committee, an events calendar and recap posts to encourage engagement. The incredible events run should be recognised as such in the marketing to help even more members be aware of the opportunities on offer and encourage them to be more involved. Since joining the Society this year, I have been to as many events as possible, so I am a recognisable and friendly face and have a good understanding of the different events which take place, which I believe is important when being on the committee. I am happy to take feedback from other members and include them as much as possible. I'm keen to implement this by introducing a monthly poll across multiple platforms (e.g. WhatsApp community, Instagram, e-mail) for feedback and ideas. On top of this, a ‘Meet the Committee’ style post would be beneficial to allow communication to those in charge of events from the wider community. As a keen artist I feel this position would suit my skill set allowing me to create attention-grabbing content showcasing events and opportunities. I hope I have your support to continue growing this Society through engaging marketing!

Dasha Kuznetsova

Hi, I’m Dasha and I’m running to be a Marketing Officer for Art Business Society because I want to make more people aware of the incredible opportunities this society has to offer. I have participated in some many incredible things organised by ABS (from panel discussions to mentorship programme) so I feel inclined to share that with others who wish to explore the arts sector. I have worked in social media marketing on projects where the target audience was primarily young people so I would feel confident in marketing events and initiatives to the UCL community. I also have some knowledge and experience in marketing in the arts sector specifically which I could also apply in this position. I would love the chance to use my marketing experience to share how useful and valuable ABS events can be and to make sure that nobody misses out on them.

Aaliya Singh

Hi everyone :) I'm Aaliya, a History of Art student on the Materials and Technology route with a passion for nor just studying visual culture bur producing it!

I would love to contribute to the Art Business Society's niche aim to de-mystify and make the art world accessible to students using my experience in graphic design and outreach. I want to communicate with our members as well as collaborate art institutions and key individuals in the art world by embracing and developing our society's unique identity! I believe that my overall creative experience and proficiency with softwares like Canva and Photoshop for past projects, creating visual media for art-based organisations and events would really help grow the Art Business Society's already distinct brand and take our initiatives and partnerships to the next level :)

Please reach out to me on instagram (@extremelyaaliya) if you have any further questions on what I hope to bring to the society board!

Antonia See

Hey! I’m Antonia. I’m running for ABS Marketing Officer because I want to push back against a future where art gets outsourced to AI. As a creative and a history-of-art student I think to combat the threat of AI displacing human voices, we need to strengthen artistic appreciation and cultural literacy now more than ever. I'm running for marketing so I can use my best skill (creativity) to promote ABS, maximise our potential to the furthest outreach, and get more people engaging with art early.

Graphic design is my main hobby, something I first got into by creating the marketing for a charity fashion show I directed. I’m no stranger to tight deadlines, or to the challenge of making people actually want to engage. I'm comfortable across a range of creative platforms (Adobe apps, DaVinci Resolve, Procreate), and I'd love to bring my design and management skills to Art Business Society because this isn’t a chore for me; I like making things people enjoy and using my hobby for something I believe in.

If you also want to protect the arts, have a nice ABS Instagram page to look at, and have someone who really cares, vote for me – and I'll make that happen for us!
