Animation Society: Welfare Officer

Hi i'm Keira, and I'm a second-year PIR student. As Welfare Officer for Animation Soc, I hope to create a comfortable environment where people feel there is a safe space to voice concerns or opinions about events, fostering a genuine culture of care. Welfare guidance can feel clinical or even bureaucratic due to its nature. Whilst various UCL support services are provided, they come across as shallow, pushing people away from actually voicing their concerns or feedback. I hope to be someone people can approach comfortably and voice their concerns without any judgment. I would ensure that we would have a really friendly community. (I'll make silly stickers and give them out in sessions to lighten the mood)
