Animation Society: Treasurer

Hi! My name is Nashat and I’m a 2nd year Sports and Exercise Medical Sciences student at UCL. I’ve always been fascinated by animation, but until now, I haven’t had the opportunity to practice it or connect with others who share that passion. I’m looking forward to being part of this society and I’m running for Treasurer to help develop it further, keeping it organised and delivering events right from the start and would love to help shape it next year.
My previous experience as Treasurer for the Lamorna Society for 2 years has allowed me to budget and work with the Students’ Union. I’ve tracked expenses, planned event budgets and ensured all spending is documented so reimbursements happen fast. This has taught me the logistics behind this role and I’m very comfortable with the responsibility behind it.
In this role, I’d work with the committee to build momentum: planning screenings, workshops, collabs and exhibitions and attracting members and keeping costs low as we grow!
If elected, I’ll bring a practical, transparent approach to ensure AnimationSoc for all animation fans. Thank you for considering me :))
