Hi, I'm Rayan!
I am excited to stand for the role of Neuroanatomy Tutorial Director.
Over the past year, I have enjoyed serving as Anatomy Society Treasurer which has given me experience in managing the society and a clear understanding of how to best support our community. I have also served as Interim Evolutionary & Developmental Biology Officer which has given me the rich opportunity to lead various tutorials and teaching opportunities.
An understanding of neuroanatomy is fundamental to almost every field of medicine. I have personally witnessed this through my own experiences spending time exploring cerebellar anatomy across species, examining how structure informs function and evolution, and through time spent with neuropathologists, observing how neuroanatomical knowledge directly translates into clinical reasoning and diagnosis. These experiences have reinforced both my understanding of neuroanatomy and my appreciation of how challenging yet rewarding it can be to learn.
As Neuroanatomy Tutorial Director I would ensure:
- High yield neuroanatomy tutorials
- Talks relevant to the field
- Interdisciplinary mixers
Having teaching experience through my role as Interim Evolutionary & Developmental Biology Officer, and managing experience from my principal role as Treasurer, I believe I would make a good fit for this role.
Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Rayan
