Hi, I'm Rayan!
I am excited to stand for the role of Evolutionary and Developmental Biology Officer.
Over the past year, I have enjoyed serving as Anatomy Society Treasurer which has given me direct experience in managing the society and a clear understanding of how to best support our community. Developmental biology is deeply profound and fundamental to anatomical knowledge, yet we have no formal societies or roles that properly teach embryology. It was this notion that led me to create this role, and I have enjoyed serving as the Interim Evolutionary and Developmental Biology Officer over the past term.
Next year, I’ll be studying the Cell and Developmental Biology iBSc, which reflects my commitment to and passion for this field. As the Evolutionary and Developmental Biology Officer I would ensure:
- High yield embryology, pathology, and histology tutorials
- Talks relevant to the field
- Interdisciplinary mixers
Having already stepped into the position, I know what it requires and I’m ready to build on what’s been done so far.
I would really appreciate your support, and I’d love the opportunity to continue serving in this role.
Thank you!
Rayan
