Election post
Hello voters,
My name is Martin Feffet and I am a first-year BSc Economics student. Ethnically, I am from Cameroon but live in Southeast London.
Without wasting much of your time, I will go ahead and say that I’ve been a treasurer of a large-scale event which is the main reason why I would be a great fit for this position. For my Sixth Form’s Christian Faith Celebration Event, I had nominated myself for the role which required that I manage the finances regarding the event, which was attended by over 200 people. Without the help of AI, I blended an ounce of careful notetaking with a cup of mental arithmetic and topped it off with a pinch of carefully examining receipts. This ensured that every penny was accounted for, which is a responsibility I will embrace if elected as ACS treasurer. It was made even more difficult by the fact that I was using my personal bank account, which made me more attentive regarding revenues and costs (don’t worry, I didn’t keep the profits). The role also required that I buy some of the snacks myself, and I am more than willing to do the same now. I know I could’ve mentioned many other characteristics and skills, but I decided to demonstrate tangible experience which shows that I am fit for the role and, more importantly, your vote.
The second reason is that it will look good on my CV, which you could generously help me strengthen.
I hope these reasons show that I am deserving of your vote and will make a great Treasurer of ACS.
