Katarina Milankovic

I am standing for Corporate Outreach Officer because I am committed to secure pivotal, professional connections for our society, improve our events and provide meaningful sponsorships that will create tangible benefits for every member.

My goal is to open doors to internships, mentorships, and insight events along with networking sessions and skills workshops. I aim to foster a strong sense of confidence and curiosity within our society – inspiring, empowering and supporting every member to reach their full potential within top industries.

I am resilient, driven and proactive and this determined approach ensures you can trust that I will work hard to obtain impactful, long-term career opportunities. I will enrich our events, inspiring and connecting members with leading firms across a wide range of diverse sectors.

I will cultivate purposeful and insightful relationships across professional networks, liaising with firms featured on the Social Mobility Employer Index and reaching out to my previous placements as a starting foundation. My strong relationship-building skills allow me to engage effectively with and maintain important professional networks. I will help expand access to opportunities for members to explore and pursue their ambitions through valuable experiences.

I will work towards creating a positive, supportive and encouraging network within our society and beyond, helping you build important connections, skills and experiences which will shape your future.

Jake Holmes

Hi everyone! I’m Jake, a first-year History student. I attended a state school in Manchester from Year 7 through to Year 13, so I strongly relate to the mission of the 93% Club and the importance of creating spaces where state-educated students feel supported and connected.

I’m standing for Corporate Outreach Officer because I would love to help strengthen the society’s links with organisations that actively support social mobility and widening access to professional careers. Through attending careers events and speaking with professionals from different industries, I’ve seen how valuable direct conversations with employers can be in helping students better understand possible career paths.

If elected, I would aim to organise networking opportunities and career-focused events with employers committed to social mobility, while also collaborating with other societies to broaden opportunities for our members.

Thank you for reading—I’d really appreciate your vote! :)
