My experience so far as a Project Consultant during the Term 2 project cycle has been incredibly rewarding, particularly because of the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of students from different degrees and perspectives. It has emphasised the valuable collaboration is within 180 Degrees Consulting, but has also highlighted significant need to create social opportunities for consultants from different project teams to connect.
I would aim to strengthen the sense of community by introducing both social & professional events for exaple:
- Fortnightly social events such as karaoke nights, jazz bar socials, or themed gatherings to help consultants from different project teams connect in a relaxed setting.
- Consulting skills workshops (given many consultants have limited professional experience) covering topics such as case structuring, slide design, and client communication.
- Alumni and industry panels
- End-of-term events, such as a 180DC formal or celebratory dinner/ball to recognise the work of project teams and strengthen the society community.
I would draw on my experience in event organisation and fundraising through leading the Pakistan Women’s Association Youth Ambassadors, where I organised carnivals and art auctions to raise funds for educational scholarships, as well as my experience as my schools Community leader where I coordinating community events with local NGOs in Bahrain and would love to bring these skills to 180DC.
Thank you for your consideration, 🙏 💐
Ever since I joined 180DC UCL in September, I have been enjoying everything this society has to offer, from public speaking to PowerPoint to case study workshops, and most importantly the great community. Since February, I have the pleasure of working alongside other 180DC consultants on a project supporting a UK charity. Now I want to give something back and would love to serve as your next Events Director.
Alongside my activities at 180DC, I have served this year as Careers Executive at the UCL SOM society, learning to recruit industry professionals and run workshops for members. I would love to bring those skills to 180DC UCL as Events Director.
In close collaboration with our other directors, I will make sure as Events Director that the society continues to deliver insightful consulting events, ranging from case competitions to consulting insights panels with professionals and interview preparation workshops. I also want to strengthen and expand our joint events with other societies. Equally important to me is organising more social events in collaboration with the welfare officer, where members can share their passion for consulting in a relaxed atmosphere, be it pub evenings, sports nights or alumni gatherings.
Besides my passion for consulting, I am a first-year Management Science student, speak three languages (English, German and pretending to speak French) and am a big sports fan.
I would really appreciate your support! Feel free to reach out (+4915122074039).

180 Degrees Consulting is known for being one of the most active and collaborative societies at UCL, bringing people together to learn practical consulting skills while working on meaningful projects, and I would love the opportunity to contribute to that energy by managing events.
Being a BASc Arts and Sciences student with a focus on mathematics and economics has strengthened my interest in structured problem-solving, but equally important to me is learning from others and building an environment where members can develop together. Through my previous experience coordinating initiatives and managing external partners for a finance-based student project, I developed strong organisational skills and saw first-hand how well-planned events drive engagement and team morale.
As Events Director, I would aim to organise workshops, networking opportunities, and collaborative events that help members feel confident applying consulting frameworks while also making the society welcoming for students who are new to consulting, like myself this year. I would also enjoy working closely with the committee to ensure events create real value by remaining creative, interactive, and genuinely useful for members interested in consulting careers.
Ultimately, I’m standing because I believe events are the heart of a society like 180DC, and I would love to help create opportunities that inspire members at UCL to learn, connect, and grow together.
I am highly interested in a leadership role at 180 degrees UCL because I see this as the perfect place to further my ambition for a career in consulting. My interest in the consulting industry was born out of a love for problem-solving, from the Junior Kangaroo Maths Challenge to becoming the Match Attax World Champion in 2017, and a desire for experience working with businesses in different places and different industries. As a first-year member of the society, I have benefitted from the events this society has hosted, from case club to the case buddy program, and now I want to contribute to this society by facilitating these opportunities for others. My experience co-running the Investment Society in my sixth form has fostered key skills including teamwork and communication and provided me with the opportunity to manage multiple responsibilities at a time. I may not yet be the best consultant, but I am reliable, enthusiastic, and a quick learner.
