Yoga and Meditation Club: Treasurer

Hi everyone, I’m Krishaa, and I’m excited to be running for Treasurer! Yoga has been an important part of my life for over 15 years, and as the current LGBTQ+ Rep as well as a Yoga Mum, I’m very passionate about ensuring that this society continues to be a welcoming, well-run space for everyone. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how the society works, preparing me to take on a more prominent role in managing its finances as Treasurer. With a strong academic background in economics and accounting, I have the financial knowledge to handle budgets, review invoices, and ensure our club’s financial health. Furthermore, I have also served as President of clubs outside of UCL, giving me plenty of experience in communicating with organizations such as the Student Union and handling administrative responsibilities. This knowledge and experience will help me ensure that finances are accurately tracked, payments are submitted on time, and schedules are planned in a way that balances affordability with what students want, while also staying on top of all the necessary documents and forms required to keep the club running smoothly. My strong communication skills will help me coordinate effectively with both the SU and our instructors to ensure that classes run without any issues. Most importantly, I am really excited to collaborate with the rest of the committee to maintain the inclusive and supportive environment that makes this society so special!
