Yoga and Meditation Club: President

Hi! I'm Aveline, a second-year BA Ancient World student, dog walker and passionate yogi! I have loved being a Yoga Mum this year and am excited to take on a committee role. 

I know I could do a wonderful job as president because I've had similar experiences before. I was president of the Spiritual Society at my sixth form college, where I also worked in my gap year as Curriculum Administrator. The job relied on liaising between staff and students and managing lots of different projects, so I am completely confident in my ability to manage and represent the Yoga Club next year. 

I will actually be switching to do my final year part-time over the next two years, which presents an opportunity for me to really invest my time and energy in the Yoga Club. Also, I can make sure things are carried over smoothly the year after. My focus will be on continuing the wonderful work of this year's committee and to keep growing towards what you, our lovely members, want to see.

I am also doing my Yoga Teacher Training this summer, and I will hopefully see some of you in my own classes next year! Having that link between the president and instructors will also be a real asset and I will certainly focus on empowering our student teachers. 

I truly hope to make a career from yoga teaching after UCL, so I will take this role extremely seriously and bring a dedicated entheusiasm, warmth and kindness. Thank you for voting, I look forward to seeing you all for another excellent year of yoga :)
