What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Hi everyone, I am Natalie, a 1st-year Mathematics student. As Women's Students' Network Campaigns Representative, I will:

  1.  Advocate for women's rights and safety by leading campaigns against gender violence.
  2. Promote inclusivity through workshops, panels, and networking events that amplify women’s voices.
  3. Secure more funding for women’s societies and ensure free period products remain available on campus.
  4. Expand career opportunities by organising career fairs, connecting female students with inspiring professionals and potential employers.
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I will bring strong organisational skills from my experience in organising large-scale conferences and volunteering events. Through female-focused programs at JP Morgan and Jane Street, I understand the challenges women face in male-dominated industries. My 4 years at a girls’ school experience deepened insight into the barriers women encounter in STEM, equipping me to drive the change. My bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese enables me to bridge language gaps and foster communication. Most importantly, I’m passionate about creating inclusive social opportunities for all female students.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

As a female international in event coordination, bilingual communication, and advocacy, I am the ideal candidate for this role. My skills in cross-cultural communication, teamwork, and problem-solving will make the Women’s Network SU more organised, inclusive, and engaging I will ensure female students’ voices are heard and their concerns addressed. By voting for me, you are choosing someone who not only values efficiency and collaboration but also brings a global perspective to drive positive change for all.
