What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I bring a passion for empowering women and creating inclusive spaces where all voices are heard.

My experience as First-Year Rep taught me how to listen, collaborate, and take action on student concerns.

I’m organised, approachable, and proactive, always eager to tackle challenges and create positive change. I’m committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring the Women’s Network is a space for all women, regardless of background.

I’m here to represent, listen to, and make a real difference for all women—regardless of background or identity—at UCL.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If elected, I hope to create a Women’s Network that not only supports and empowers women at UCL but also prioritises safety and well-being.

In light of recent events, I am committed to advocating for a safer campus environment where women feel protected and heard. I aim to organise events that focus on empowerment, self-care, and gender-based activism, while also ensuring the Network is a space where women can share their experiences and find support.

My goal is to create a strong, inclusive community where every woman feels safe and valued.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I’m ready to be an ear, a shoulder to lean on, and a strong advocate for women at UCL.

I’m committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where every woman feels supported, valued, and heard.

Driven by my dedication to gender equality, a deep understanding of your concerns, and my determination to make a tangible difference, I will work tirelessly to represent and stand up for women on campus.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

As a LGBT+ Rep on the Women’s network, I’ve spent the past year making campus a positive and inclusive space for all students by organising a monthly book club discussing feminist literature  and a women’s career event highlighting career leaders from the UCL community.

I’ve been actively involved in the SU as well as directly in the UCL faculty to represent your concerns:

  • Women’s Rep in the LGBTQ+ Network: collaborated with other networks to decolonise queer spaces and highlight diverse experiences
  • EDI Shadow Board member (SHS Faculty): worked on improving the Widening Participation scheme
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I want to bring the 3Cs-  career, community and care!

  1. Career
  • Workshops for women to improve their soft skills and practice networking in a supportive environment
  • Monthly panels highlighting women sector leaders
  1. Community
  • Three types of events: creative socials, discussions and drop-ins to hear from you
  • Recognise intersectional identities by collaborating across networks
  • Term in a nutshell newsletter highlighting stories from UCL women students and staff
  1. Care
  • Drop-in sessions for women’s healthcareinformal spaces to talk to professionals and peers while painting, sipping tea and relaxing :)
Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Having worked for a year as a Student Rep in SU networks, I’m experienced at addressing student concerns, planning events and crafting policy. But most of all, I know first-hand how empowering finding a community of people who truly understand the problems you face can be. As a queer Indian woman, I’m aware how isolating university spaces can be, and I want to create spaces where everyone feels welcome and safeTogether, we have immense power and I want to mobilise it to protect and promote women's rights, and make campus a positive space for everyone.
