Allegra Cuomo

I am standing for treasurer of UCL Water Polo Club because I am keen to have an active role in leading the society, and I believe I can effectively expand and develop the society in the treasurer role.

I am an organised individual who is comfortable taking managerial responsibility. I will ensure that essential tasks such as pool bookings for training and matches are done promptly, organising timings for land training sessions, as well as carrying out jobs such as securing sponsorships and sorting out finances for team kit.

I have past experience dealing with budgets through my roles in other societies, where I was in charge of finances and reimbursements. Therefore, I understand the importance of the role and the responsibilities of the role.

Being a part of UCL Water Polo society is something I thoroughly enjoy: attending trainings, playing in matches, and being an active member of the team. I would love to be able to give back to the society by helping the running and development of the UCL Water Polo by being treasurer.

Winston Wang

The Treasurer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our society by managing its finances effectively. With extensive experience in financial management, I am confident in my ability to handle this responsibility.

At Caffè Nero, my role as a supervisor taught me how to manage budgets efficiently for seamless business operations in a real-world setting. Prior to that, as Vice President of Marketing for ScrapCap—a Junior Achievement start-up recycling used school uniforms into caps—I managed our marketing budget, leading our team to victory in a Southeast Asia-wide competition representing Singapore.

Additionally, I led my investment team in the Wharton Global Youth Investment Challenge, representing Southbank International School in a competitive London-wide event. Throughout my experiences, I have successfully managed both teams and finances, delivering strong results.

Beyond financial expertise, I am an approachable and collaborative member of the society, always open to feedback and willing to adapt budget plans based on team input. With my experience and dedication, I will ensure our club’s finances are managed effectively to support its growth and success.
