Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as Media Secretary, creating loads of social media posts and helping to promote our team and events. I’ve really enjoyed the role and would be more than happy to continue for another year!
If re-elected, I’ll keep delivering great content, ensuring our team gets the recognition it deserves. Looking forward to another exciting season!
Hi, I’m Pri and I’m running to be your next Media Secretary. I’ve played Water-Polo on and off, but UCL Water Polo was the first opportunity to do it seriously and find a team that I’m proud to both call teammates and dearest friends! I’d love to share this with everyone and document how this society is open to absolutely everyone, regardless of ability. I hope I can count on your vote to help me continue my dream as Courtside-clicker ;)
A few ideas I have:
- Have a team line-up post before each match to introduce the game. This will set up more awareness and encourage people to come and support their friends
- Give more people freedom over what photos are online - sometimes low-key looking like Crazy Frog isn’t something you want in your Instagram tagged ngl.
- Make the Instagram more personable - think POM, player spotlights, running around with a mini mic grilling the team, team achievements. Document exactly how inclusive and sociable we all are
- Work on securing a sponsor for us, to support the future welfare of our society. Sponsorship = more money = more fun
- Increased marketing towards freshers - I plan to do this by playing good tunes, sticking up memes of us, pushing our first social all at Freshers Fair
You can always see me giggling away on our WhatsApp group chat 24/7; my online presence is unmatched - so you can count on me to put my chronically online self to good use as Media Sec!
