Hina Shinagawa

I cherish my current role as an Outreach Officer, where I focus on reaching out to embassies and international organizations to arrange visits. I have arranged visits to several embassies, managing over 50 applications, and have been approved visits to 3 international organizations' offices. It has been truly rewarding to deliver unique opportunities for UNA members to explore diplomacy beyond MUN, developing my interest in external relations. Beyond my ongoing outreach duties, I will expand my responsibilities as VP ER by organizing panel events with guest speakers from diplomatic sectors from the start of term 1. I will also design promotional materials highlighting UNA's commitment to raising global awareness and incite other societies to collaborate, as exemplified where i designed a poster for International Women's Day in partnership with 4 other societies, to boost inter-society engagement and raise funds for UNA's partner organizations. I also plan to host briefing events by inviting external organizations to explain their duty to UNA members.

Being part of UCLUNA has almost entirely shaped my university life, as I've taken part in both marketing and outreach. Having been assigned as USG for External Relations, I will leverage my negotiation, networking and PR skills through this experience to bring in more exclusive opportunities for UNA members as VP ER. I am keen to put my bestest effort in spreading the name 'UCLUNA' both within and beyond UCL in the coming year!
