Joining UCL Taekwondo this year has allowed me to not only grow in skill, but also, make so many meaningful connections and meet a variety of amazing people! I want to give back to a club that has given me so much and play a more central role in shaping its community. My goal is to bring people closer together through a diverse range of events. If elected, I will be dedicated to creating inclusive, well organised events that strengthen the Taekwondo experience for everyone. Potential event ideas would include (but wouldn't be limited to) movie nights, karaoke, potlucks, scrapbooking and gossip sessions and many more!
My time as a house captain in sixth form has given me prior experience in event planning - so I am already familiar with coordinating the logistics that surround an event, managing resources and conducting a thorough risk assessment. These are all skills that would directly translate to planning and executing successful (and most importantly fun) events for UCL Taekwondo.
