I am excited to be running for Chair of the Surgical Innovation Society!
With a strong foundation in event organisation and society leadership, I have gained valuable experience as Finance Lead for the Plastic Surgery Society and Widening Participation Officer for iNUGSC 2024. These roles have equipped me with the skills to organise high-impact events, secure sponsorships, and drive student engagement; making me well-suited to lead and grow the society.
As Chair, I will:
- Start a ‘Surgical innovation’ conference in collaboration with other London universities: I will bring in renowned speakers and hands-on workshops to provide members with the latest insights regarding surgical innovation.
- Grow the Society & Engagement: with 100 followers on social media, I see huge potential for expansion. I will improve outreach, collaborate with other surgical societies, and increase engagement through social media.
- Launch a newsletter on the latest innovations in surgery: to keep members updated on the latest breakthroughs in surgical technology, research highlights, and upcoming events.
