Hello, I am Georgi and I am running for the position of ENT chair. I hope that I can use my interests in the field of ENT and my past competencies within the Surgical Society to build on the interest of my fellow students and bring awareness to this amazing surgical specialty.
Research: To raise awareness of the importance of research in ENT. To achieve this my ENT subcommittee will provide actionable advice on securing and developing research, and have surgeon led talks on ENT research.
My research experience:
- Scoping review in ENT Laryngology at UCLH.
- Systematic review in Surgical materials at Royal Free.
- Quality Improvement Project in Surgical Outcomes in Urology at UCLH.
Exposure: To focus on practical experiences. Our subcommittee events will aim to have Workshops as priority. Use connections at ENT departments to signpost students interested in clinic and surgical shadowing.
My practical experience:
- Workshop Lead at INNC 2025. We organised over 10 high quality workshops.
- Shadowing in theatre and in clinic in Otology and Skull Base ENT + other surgical fields.
Events: To deliver a series of talks to stimulate interest. To supplement the understanding of ENT through tutorials on Head and Neck anatomy, and the Auditory & Vestibular pathways. Collaborate with societies for further tutorials.
My events experience:
- Events officer for Neurosurgery subcommittee. We organised the Journey through the Encephalon lecture series.
- Tutor for Year 1 C&B lectures through Medical Society.
