Hi Everyone!
I'm Tom, a 3rd-year Surgical Sciences student, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the role of Cardiothoracic (CT) Chair. Over the past two years, I have been an active member of the CT subcommittee, gaining invaluable experience and insights into how we can deliver exceptional content and opportunities for our members. My involvement in wider CT activities, such as the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery (SCTS), and my collaborations with surgeons at George’s and other London hospitals, have equipped me with the knowledge and connections to take this role to the next level.
This year, I have delivered the most attended in-person and online talks, demonstrating my commitment to engaging and inspiring our members. Building on this momentum, I have a clear vision for the future of the CT subcommittee, focused on education, inclusivity, and national impact.
