Having surfed since primary school whilst growing up in Cornwall, surfing has become a huge part of my lifestyle. I think the community surfing brings is one everyone should experience - I would love to expand the network of surfers across the UK so more people can enjoy what i’ve had the privilege to over the years. I believe my profound appreciation for the holistic nature of surfing as a social past-time, a passion, a physically demanding extreme sport and a gratitude-maxing form of meditation deems me a great fit as the president for this society!
I see myself pushing UCL surf society in a great direction; improving the already great trips, providing surf-related benefits for members from intel on surf spots to guidance buying surf equipment, and much more. I would like to extend the range and frequency of surf-related events/activities which the society holds, increasing participation and creating a strong sense of community for everyone involved. Overall, I aim to utilise my extensive surf experience, network and passion to develop the society into something truly valuable for all of its members. Yeeeew!
