Sudanese Society: President

Hello everyone! Some of you may already know me, but for those who don’t, I’m Galila, your current Welfare Officer, and hopefully your future President! Over the past year, my love for Sudanisoc has only grown. Serving as Welfare Officer has shown me the incredible impact we can have as part of the Sudanese Society committee; it’s been both fun and rewarding. Raising awareness about the situation in Sudan and creating meaningful events has been an honour. From engaging with amazing people to seeing our efforts come to life, it’s been a great experience, and I’m excited to continue next year!
 

This year, we introduced fresh event ideas and formed new collaborations, including international ones. I hope to build on this by strengthening these connections and forming new ones. My goal is to expand our outreach, bring more opportunities to the society, and always keep Sudan at the heart of everything we do!

With the ongoing war in Sudan, community and unity are more important than ever. As President, I aim to strengthen this community and ensure we have the resources to support each member. I’m inspired by past committees and presidents who’ve strengthened the society through their dedication, and I hope to continue that legacy. I’m committed to listening to your feedback and acting to improve the society. My passion for Sudanisoc has only grown over the past two years, and I’m excited for a third! After all, who else would dress up as Steve Harvey for Family Feud night?
