Jiya Undre

Hi I'm Jiya and i'm excited to run for president of this society. From being a part of the founding committee since 2024, this society means a lot to me. In my second year, it helped me reconnect with my degree and reminded me why I chose this path in the first place. It gave me the encouragement I needed at a time when I really needed it. More than that, it taught me practical skills—how to manage difficult situations, how to prioritize real well-being, and how to create positive change. These are things I want to pass on and promote to even more students.

Beyond personal growth, what I love most about this society is its commitment to real action—identifying gaps in social care and actually doing something about them. I want to build on this by expanding our reach, creating more opportunities for students to get involved, and ensuring our initiatives have a lasting impact.

As for experience, I feel confident in my ability to take on this role. I’ve served as the Director of Branch Affairs for Students for Global Health, been the Local President for UCL leading their mentorship scheme, and even represented the UK at IFMSA. These roles have strengthened my leadership, organisational, and advocacy skills, all of which I’d bring to this position.

If elected, I'd make sure this society continues to be a space where students feel empowered, and capable of making real change. I’d love the opportunity to lead us forward and would really appreciate your support.

Christina Tran

I am standing for this leadership position because I want to continue contributing to a society that brings me immense joy. Throughout this year, I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with like-minded individuals who share a passion for inclusion health and improving others’ lives!!

Through having taken on committee roles in other societies and having the privilege of being behind the scenes as part of the junior committee for SIHS (which has been really fun!), I have gained valuable experience that I am eager to bring to this role. I am committed to building upon the fantastic work our committee has done this year, including our projects and workshops.
